Summer Service Interns
June through August
|
The ND Portland Club is asking families to host our Summer Service Learning Program interns from early June to early August, for a period of 4 or 8 weeks. Each summer, the club partners with the Downtown Chapel and Elizabeth House maternity home to provide a service opportunity to two Notre Dame students. Thus far, we have housing arranged for the Elizabeth House intern for the second half of her stay (July 4 to August 3, or as early as June 27 if necessary). The Club takes care of their transportation by providing Tri-met passes.
I invite you to be a part of an experience that is rewarding not only to our students, but to you as a host. It's a wonderful opportunity to share the Portland area and the Northwest, and four weeks is finished before you know it. If you need to go out of town for a short time during your hosting period, we can make arrangements for a temporary stay elsewhere.
If you are interested, please contact Cecilia Brown at (503) 545-5470 or at ckbrown@bpa.gov
