The Senior Alumni of the Notre Dame Club of Portland are planning to help support our sister school, the University of Portland, in an all ages events day organized to welcome Brigham Young University to the West Coast Conference.

On February 4, 2012, a joint athletic activity is planned on Mt. Tabor which includes a Kids Race, 1k, 5k, and 10k Run/Walk.  The event starts at 9:30 AM and precedes the NCAA basketball game between University of Portland and Brigham Young University that evening.  The day of events is a way to welcome BYU fans, friends, and family into the West Coast Conference.

The University of Portland Alumni Association will conduct a campus tour for fans, friends, and family of BYU.  In addition, a Meet & Greet will be held before the basketball game.

The Notre Dame Club of Portland will be included in the events of the day, and specifically, the 9:30 AM Run - a professionally produced event.  The 5k and 10k are timed events, and awards will be given.  We have our own webpage and registration page:

http://www.uberthons.com/gamedayrivalundclub

Click on the registration button to register for the run.  Our Club will receive $10 for each registration to support our Club activities.

The event could also use 20 volunteers – cooking pancakes, serving water, helping at the timing tent, helping runners, etc.  Contact me (Greg Wingenfeld  503-257-7183 wingo1@comcast.net) , and I'll get you involved.

Attached please find a flyer that you can send to your email contacts.  If you have access to other groups whom you consider fans, friends, and family of Notre Dame,  U of P or BYU, please inform them of the event.

Tickets to the basketball game that night: $30 for sideline; $20 for bleachers.  Go through the U of P ticket office or contact
